7 Healthy Lifestyle Habits I’ve Been Loving
Here are the 7 healthy lifestyle habits I have been implementing into my lifestyle lately. If you’re looking for healthy new habits to add to your routine that will help you reset and feel energized for the summer days ahead then these are the tips for you! Try out a few of these life changing habits to also help improve your mood, keep you focused on your goals and growth.
1. MAKE TIME TO JOURNAL
Our thinking plays a huge part in how we perceive ourselves, our actions and how we treat others. By writing about our day, our feelings or our goals we can see where we need to form new habits and even redirect our thinking. If you don’t know what to start writing about you can check out my favorite journaling prompt on self concept to help re-invent your self image or you can try out my journal, ‘A Look Within’ that gives you 25 Self Discovery prompts for personal development, goal setting and healing.
2. READING/LISTENING TO BLINKIST/PODCASTS
A big goal of mine is to make time to learn new things. Lately I’ve been into personal development books and podcasts. I love reading, but the app, Blinkist makes reading and learning so much easier. I am able to learn new concepts in minutes. I try to schedule out at least 30 mins to an hour of my day to learning new things.
3. INTERMITTENT FASTING
This habit has become a regular part of my weekday routine. Intermittent fasting offers many benefits: it increases energy and focus, and it can help those who struggle with bloating or losing weight. Learning more about this process can empower you to take control of your eating habits and achieve your body and health goals. For more resources and guidance on implementing intermittent fasting into your lifestyle, check out the app Zero. In addition to intermittent fasting I’ve also added Digest Zen essential oil into my routine. Using 1-2 drop of this before heavy meals and always at night helps to ease digestion and bloating as well.
4. WALKING/MEDITATION
Going for a just a brief walk or practicing a short meditation can really bring you out of a midday funk and gve your mind a boost of clarity and your body a boost on energy. An app I have been loving lately to take with me on walks is Synctuition. It is a meditation app that uses binaural beats, 3D sounds and your own personalized frequency to take you on a journey of discovery and well being with mediating. Synctuition has been an amazing way to help relieve stress and center myself.
5. TAKING VITAMINS
Way too often are we feeling tired and unfocused from sitting in front of screens and sluggish because we are not getting the nutrients we need from our food. My lifeline to these problems have been taking the DHA Oil Supplement from Fractal Forest. It has a number of benefits helping to improve your mood, focus, and has an calming effect.
6. SEASONAL JUICING DETOX
I started juicing for the first time ever, this Spring season. It has become my go to for weeks when I’m feeling sluggish, bloated and drained. It is the best way for me to reset and detox my body giving me the metabolism and energy boost I need. Also, the difference I’ve seen in my body so quickly has been incredible. You can read more about my recent results of a 5 day juice cleanse with Suja Juices.
7. A RELAXING NIGHT ROUTINE
Having a relaxing night routine to end your day off right is so important! Our bodies and mind go through so much stress in a day and your night routine can be a reminder to take care of yourself and add some self care into our busy schedules. I love to unwind by doing some light stretches, going through my skincare routine and making some calming honey chamomile tea (using 1-2 drops of this lavender essential oil); and either journal, read or watch a good inspiring movie.
