A perfect start to your day
How our mornings go can really make or break us. They are sacred moments of our day and it’s always better to start it off right.
In the morning what we want to do and what we end up doing can be completely different. Sometimes our mornings are perfect. We get up, we get ready in peace and we are excited for the day. Other times the last thing we want is to get out of bed and face what the day has in store for us.
So, how can you wake up in a better mood and have a perfect start to your day every day? I’ll tell you how in three easy steps.
1) Intention
Setting your intentions early will help you focus on what you want to achieve out of the day. So take a minute to meditate on how you want your day to go. How do you want to feel? Do you want your day to be enjoyable to laugh lots? To be able to take care of your errands with ease? Or have an all-round peaceful day? Take time to visualize what your day will be like and even list things that you would like to happen.
2) Gratitude & Affirmations
On our worst days, this is a tough one. Being thankful despite all the struggles and being kind to yourself despite all the mistakes. This step is to help change your mindset. How can you have a good day without already being content with what you have? So whether you make a list or in prayer, remind yourself all of what you have to be grateful for. Big and Small. Past, present, and future. When you remind yourself of what you are thankful for it allows room for better opportunities and joy in your life.
When it comes to instilling good habits, qualities, or confidence repeating affirmations in the mirror to yourself is a great way to start. Start with I am statements like, “I am an amazing person” “I am worthy of success”. Doing this every day will remind you of what you are working towards and will speak all those goals you have into existence.
3) For You
Lastly, you should do something for yourself. Give yourself time every day, to do something you enjoy. Putting time aside will improve your mood and be something to look forward to. So, even if your busy all day now you have that time to reward yourself with.
